My name is Rene Guevara, I currently live in the Central Valley of California with my wife and son. Coming from a traditional art background I intended to study film and traditional animation at San Francisco State University, but gradually fell in love with 3D computer animation. While attending SFSU I collaborated with three other talented animators to produce the trailer for the 2002 SFSU Film Finals, and completed two short animated films ("Jerry's Night Out" and "Going Home"). I graduated in 2003 with a major in cinema, and newborn baby boy. As of now I am working as a freelance artist and animator while also doing animation for Axis Origin.

When I work I am always thinking about emotion. I want my characters to be able to express their feelings, thoughts, and mood simply through gesture, movement, and expression. My passion for creation also stems to writing. I love to come up with new story ideas for future films or animations. My career is only at its beginning, and there are many stories I have to share with the world.
